• Sweaty Palms and Clammy Hands

    Hello Edie!!
I have always had an interest in take Salsa dance lessons as I'm a beginner, but when I'm nervous or anxious I get super clammy and sweating hands which has stopped me from perusing this! I was just wondering if this is something you guys get a lot of time or if this is okay to still try a class without Feeling embarrassed.
    Thanks,

    Dear Clammy, Sweaty Hands,

Thank you for writing! There are several options I have heard work:

    1. Carry a black handkerchief with you at all times to wipe your hands, especially right before he asks you to dance. Over time, your nerves will dissipate, and your sweaty palms will no longer be an issue!

    2. I have also heard that a Botox procedure will work with sweaty palms as well.

    3. Another thing you may try is anti-perspirant spray on your palms.
This has helped a few of my friends.

    4. Here is a GREAT online article that may also help: http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Clammy-Hands

Never EVER let this issue affect your starting to learn to dance though! Dancing can HEAL YOU in ways you never thought possible!!

I truly hope we get to meet each other one day.

Best of luck to you, and KEEP DANCING!!!
See you on the dance floor!
